February 28, 2025

Jessica Swan, a leading voice in addiction recovery and family support, has reached an exciting milestone with the publication of her latest research in the Journal of Addictive Disorders and Mental Health (Vol. 3, Issue 1).

Her article, “Family-Centered Approaches in Addiction Recovery: Reframing Codependency and Enhancing Outcomes through Relational Healing,” explores the critical role of family dynamics in addiction treatment. It challenges traditional views on codependency, offering a relational healing framework that promotes stronger recovery outcomes for individuals and their loved ones.

“This publication represents years of work in reshaping how we approach addiction recovery,” said Swan. “By integrating family support into treatment models, we can create sustainable healing and improve long-term success.”

The research aligns with the mission of Recovery Consulting, where Swan and her team provide training, resources, and advocacy for more comprehensive, family-inclusive addiction treatment. Her findings will also be featured in upcoming international and U.S. trainings, further expanding the impact of this work.
