About This Organization: At the Claudia Black Young Adult Center we get right to the core of the presenting issues, whether it is an addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and/or co-occurring conditions. With the clinical expertise of Claudia Black, PhD, a pioneer working with both family systems and addictions, we created the foundations of our cutting-edge program that specifically meets the needs of individuals ages 18 to 26. Our goal is to assist young adults to embrace the recovery process, taking responsibility for their own emotional, mental, and physical healing as well as to facilitate family healing and a healthier functioning family system.
Mission Statement: To provide our patients the tools necessary to overcome the challenges of trauma, addictions, eating disorders, and related mental health conditions as part of a comprehensive treatment process that promotes sustained personal recovery in collaboration with referral sources and families.
