CDC Stalled in Releasing Opioid Guidelines

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) planned to act to combat opioid addiction by releasing guidelines this month calling for more cautious opioid prescribing. CDC's plan is being stalled by the opioid lobby.

The blog linked below from the Hazelden Betty Ford Institute for Recovery Advocacy describes the proposed CDC guidelines and explains how to support them by posting your comments.

The public comment period closes January 13 so please act now!

Appropriate prescription guidelines make sense but without adequate comments and support for the CDC guidelines, they may not be implemented.
