NAATP Member Public Policy Action Item
White House Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Parity Task Force

PLEASE ACT PRIOR TO AUGUST 31

NAATP has the opportunity to influence the implementation and enforcement of parity law through the White House Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Parity Task Force. Despite the passage of the law in 2008, parity is violated regularly. With the creation of the White House Task Force, we have the opportunity to fully enforce the law.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Here is a draft letter which we encourage you to complete and send to the White House. If you are comfortable with the draft as is, simply insert the name of your facility, sign, and send. The letter may also be modified as you deem appropriate. If you have specific examples of parity violations and can include them in your comments, that would be very helpful.

Send your comments as an email attachment to: parity@hhs.gov.

This is an important opportunity to make a real difference. Please respond as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Mark Dunn, NAATP Policy Representative
