Demonstrating continuous quality improvement in the services and programs it provides, Tully Hill Treatment and Recovery has again achieved a three-year, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation, based on CARF’s three-day survey conducted at the end of April of 2021.
Tully Hill’s latest accreditation will extend through December 31, 2023.
In acknowledging the accreditation of Tully Hill’s medically supervised withdrawal management (aka detox), Inpatient rehabilitation, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient services and programs, CARF President and CEO Brian Boon declared that “This achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards.”
CARF’s survey report included numerous areas of strength at Tully Hill that were validated in its extensive review of treatment and care provided, and documentation of same. Some of these were:
- That patients and families served benefited from Tully Hill’s strong leadership and vision for the future as well as from departmental performance improvement initiatives based on assessment data collected and reviewed
- Surveyor acknowledgement of the presentation and condition of Tully Hill’s 33-acre property and 30,000 square foot facility, including the many capital improvements completed in the past three years
- Recognition of Tully Hill’s transparency applicable to the data made available at www.tullyhill.com, including post-discharge treatment outcome data
- Praise for Tully Hill’s interaction with other NY State providers and their confirmation of the consistent quality of care Tully Hill provides, and the timely communication demonstrated in the expedition and facilitation of admission to services and programs
- Recognition of Tully Hill’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic
Tully Hill Executive Director Cathy Palm likewise commended Tully Hill leadership and staff efforts in preparing for and participating in the survey. She observed that in doing the survey virtually, a tremendous amount of work was required and that the many logistics of such a survey format presented untested challenges that staff successfully met.
“I sincerely thank all staff for the work and accomplishment of achieving another three-year CARF accreditation,” she said. “The work we do every day strives for continuous quality improvement, which allows us to receive such a positive survey report and accreditation,” she said.
