NAATP did not hold its 2020 Annual Leadership Conference, which was scheduled for May 16-18 in San Diego, CA. We thank you for your patience while our team assessed our options and focused on delivering resources to our membership and field at large during this difficult time. Why is NAATP National 2020 canceled?
The consensus to cancel the conference was due to the escalating conditions surrounding COVID-19 and after the guidance from the CDC was issued to cancel all mass gatherings. Given these developments and keeping the health and safety of our constituents in mind, we feel cancelation is the responsible action.
Will NAATP National be postponed to later in 2020?
No, our annual conference will not be postponed to later in 2020. We explored options for postponing and, unfortunately, it was not possible to secure adequate space later in the year and the in-person event environment is unknown at this time. Stay tuned for information about our webinars and possible virtual connection options.
Will NAATP offer a Virtual Conference?
We have explored ways of implementing a replacement for this in-person event and have determined a virtual conference is not a viable option as the possibilities do not provide the type of unique experience our exhibitors, speakers, and attendees have come to expect. Rather we will focus our efforts on delivering educational content and resources online through our webinar series.
Presentation Status
Presenters will receive an email from NAATP with additional instructions about participating in our webinar series and on-demand sessions.
Will my conference registration fee be refunded?
All conference attendees and attendees registered for the CEO Luncheon have been fully refunded.
How will Exhibitors and Sponsorships be handled?
All exhibitors received communications about options for their 2020 registration. The refund window has passed, effective May 15, 2020. No refunds will be issued after this date for any reason – no exceptions. All remaining exhibitors and sponsors have been transferred to NAATP National 2021 to take place in Denver, CO, on May 16-18, 2021, or virtually if required in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Is the NAATP Golf Tournament Canceled?
Yes, the golf tournament scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2020, is canceled and all golf registrations have been fully refunded.
How can I donate to the PAC?
Since our PAC fundraisers will not take place this year, we welcome online pledges to our Political Action Committee (PAC) here. A member of the PAC committee will follow up with you.
How do I cancel my Hotel Reservations?
Attendees who booked through NAATP's discounted room block with the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego will be canceled automatically without penalty. The hotel has ceased operations for the next 8 weeks. If you need to contact the hotel directly, their reservation line is still open at 619.322.1234. Registrants who booked lodging through other sources or directly with other hotels must cancel their own reservations.
Will my airline ticket to San Diego be refunded?
Please contact your airline directly regarding ticket cancellations.
Where will NAATP National 2021 take place?
We are excited to announce NAATP National 2021 will be held in Denver, CO, on May 16-18, 2021. More information to follow in the upcoming months. Additionally, NAATP National 2022 will be held in San Diego on May 7-9, 2022.
