Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Weekly (ADAW) Highlights Addiction Industry Condition and the NAATP Response
The lead article in today’s issue of (ADAW*) covers the recent congressional hearings on addiction operations in detail. The issue focuses on the marketing abuses that occur within the field, the need for action, and the National Association’s Quality Assurance Initiative – the QAI. As you may have read in recent news, the NAATP QAI is a program designed to “raise the floor” of quality business conduct within the association and influence the field at large. These measures include a revised Code of Ethics, business practice guidelines, and implementation resources. Some measures will be released early in the new year and more will be revealed at NAATP National 2018 in Denver in May.
