The Senate is working to finalize its proposal to assist American businesses during the crisis. In the initial proposal, the only industry singled out for direct assistance was the airlines industry. However, Senators leading the effort have assured NAATP that proposed provisions would support NAATP members just like any other business.
Another section of the bill included HIPPA/42 CFR 2 language that NAATP has been supporting.
This bill needs Democratic members' support in the Senate and approval of the Speaker and the House of Representatives before it will pass.
