About This Organization:

Red Oak Recovery® is a clinically intensive and gender separate trauma, substance abuse, and mental health treatment program for young adults, ages 18-30. Our men’s campus is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains just north of Asheville NC, and our women’s program, The Willows at Red Oak Recovery®, is located just south.

The leadership team is involved in the day-to-day operations as well as all strategic decisions and are recognized experts in the field of integrating experiential therapy with substance abuse, trauma, and mental health treatment. They have previously developed several highly successful and effective cutting-edge wilderness therapy and substance abuse treatment programs. Red Oak Recovery® is the result of their extensive experience and research for developing highly effective programming to create a foundation of long-term recovery for young adults.

Our therapists work collaboratively with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that meet the unique developmental, emotional, and educational needs of young adults. In addition to traditional treatment, we offer a holistic approach that includes:

Intensive Clinical Care with a minimum of 30 hours of clinical work per week
Individual and Group Therapy
Adventure and Experiential Therapy
12 Step Philosophy
Social Skills Development
Life Skills Training
Family Work

Our clinically sophisticated treatment model addresses many crucial elements simultaneously. We use evidence-based research, research-supported clinical interventions, as well as a longer stay in treatment, to support sustained recovery for young adults.
