About This Organization:

Awakenings By the Sea for Women is a intimate, family owned substance use disorder treatment center located on the beautiful northwest Oregon coast at the mouth of the Columbia river.

Mission Statement:

Awakenings by the Sea for Women sets the standard of excellence in the gender specific treatment of substance abuse disorders. Rather than offering a “one size fits all” approach to treatment, we integrate the different treatment interventions and customize treatment to the unique needs of the individual.
Our philosophy and treatment approach has been successful in helping women and their families reclaim their lives and become a healthier family system. Awakenings by the Sea for Women emphasizes the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual transformation of the individual. We must first understand “why” we use substances to change. At Awakenings by the Sea for Women, we help our women to discover their “why”, so they can move forward in their lives and begin the healing process that promotes recovery. We embrace and promote the values of integrity, respect, accountability, that guides everything from how we structure treatment, therapy, and education. They serve as guiding principles of our lives, and this is what we teach the women at Awakenings by the Sea.
Our foremost priority is to provide the highest quality of care and restore the individual to a healthier, happier, more purpose driven & productive lifestyle, free from dependence of mind-altering substances and destructive behavioral patterns.
