Once a year, the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) recognizes and honors distinguished achievements in the addiction profession. To encourage and foster the highest principles in the practice of addiction treatment, these five prestigious awards are given to recognize individuals who consistently contribute their time and talents to ensure the equitable availability and highest quality of addiction treatment.
Our award recipients receive national recognition at NAATP National's opening night awards banquet held on Sunday evening, May 18, 2025, in Downtown Seattle, WA.
Nomination Deadline: January 15, 2025
- Dr. Peter Hayden Diversity, Inclusivity, and Racial Equity Award: Recognizes champions of diversity, equity, and inclusivity in the addiction treatment and recovery field.
- Nelson Bradley Career Achievement Award: Recognizes the life-long achievements of individuals who have made significant contributions to modern addiction treatment.
- Dr. James West Quality Improvement Award: Recognizes new, innovative, and successful addiction treatment advancements, both clinical and operational, that improve the quality and reach of addiction treatment.
- Dr. Jasper Chen See Volunteer Leadership Award: Recognizes individuals who have provided exceptional volunteer leadership in the area of addiction treatment through board membership and philanthropy.
- Michael Ford Journalism Award: Recognizes the journalistic efforts, both electronic and print, that promote the value of and need for addiction treatment.
