The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has extended the latest Provider Relief Fund (PRF) application period. The new deadline is November 6th.
Substance use disorder treatment providers may apply for this funding regardless of whether or not they accept Medicaid or Medicare. HHS is also amending the reporting instructions to increase flexibility around how providers can apply PRF money toward lost revenues attributable to coronavirus. According to HHS, “this includes lost revenue, measured as a negative change in year-over-year actual revenue from patient care related sources.”
NAATP encourages all members to consider the option of applying for these newly released resources. Details regarding updated reporting requirements can be found here.
