Family resilience is about more than hanging in there through tough times. Research shows that families can turn stress and adversity into a springboard for rebounding from the challenges life continues to bring.
Join Anna Bohlinger, PhD, LMFT, clinical manager of the partial hospitalization program at Children’s Minnesota, to explore the ABC-X model of family stress and the theory of family resilience. Then put theory to practice by applying the family resilience model to a case study.
Objectives
-Describe the intersection of family stress and family resilience models.
-Apply the theory of family resilience to a case study.
-Identify how tolerance for ambiguity and systemic resilience can improve outcomes for multi-stressed families.
